Chidimma Acholonu
Dr. Chidimma Acholonu is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellow at Children's National Hospital in Washington DC. She completed her Pediatric residency at University of Chicago where she also served as Chief Resident. She is a graduate of Morehouse School of Medicine and also holds a Masters of Public Health degree is Community Oriented Primary Care from George Washington University. Dr. Acholonu is actively involved with the National Medical Association, the largest organization representing African American physicians, where she previously served as Chair and Trustee for the Post Graduate Section (which represents residents, fellows and early career physicians). Dr. Acholonu is passionate about supporting pre-meds, medical students and trainees and has research interests specifically focused on best practices for trauma-informed and patient centered care for law enforcement involved youth. In her free time, Dr. Acholonu loves to travel. When she's stateside and not at work, you can probably find her at Karaoke, with a full 90s R&B set list!
